PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that adhesive strength of a plating layer is low when an external electrode of a multilayer ceramic capacitor is formed by performing direct plating on an exposed surface of an internal electrode without forming a paste electrode layer or the like, and the problem that blisters are generated when glass particles are included in the plating layer. SOLUTION: Electrolytic plating using a plating bath including glass particles is performed to form an electrolytic plating layer having glass particles dispersed therein, and this layer serves as an external electrode.
