<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a magnet capable of manufacturing a sintered magnet of high degree of particle orientation and uniform density at high manufacturing yield, and to provide a method of manufacturing a motor configured by using a manufactured permanent magnet. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the magnet includes: a first step wherein a slurry S is generated by mixing at least magnetic powder and a binder resin with a solvent, and the slurry S is flattened in a sheet shape by a doctor blade technique, and then the solvent is volatilized to form a sheet material ST; and a second step wherein the sheet materials ST are laminated to form a laminate SST, and the laminate SST is pressure-formed. During the course of flattening the slurry S in a sheet shape in the first step, it is desirable to make a magnetic field act in parallel or vertical to a direction where the slurry spreads.
