<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video processing apparatus that speeds up format conversion of video data without requiring a special video data. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The video processing apparatus has a memory for storing a unconverted video data, a storage part for storing the data readable/writable, and a control part for obtaining a replay ending time from unconverted video data in the memory before converting the unconverted video data into a stream data by unit video data, inserting pseudo-management information including dummy data into it to generate a converted video data and writing to a storage part as well as generating a time-map indicating replay time information of the converted video data to write to a storage part, generating a management information based on the replay end time and time-map written, and overwriting the pseudo-management information of the converted video data with the management information.
