<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with the problem of sharing a device driver which is software for controlling devices without changing nor deteriorating execution performance, in a multi-core environment in which generally, a plurality of concurrently-operating CPUs each of which is under a different OS from one another, while the number of devices such as I/O devices and accelerator IPs is restricted, and the devices are required to be shared among the plurality of CPUs or OSs. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In order to solve the problem, a virtual machine control mechanism (VMM) assigns access to the devices from the plurality of OSs and gives an image occupying the devices to the OSs.
