<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous oxidization-promoting material which achieves fuel saving by promoting the oxidization of fuel and activating the decomposition of fuel and promoting the perfect combustion of fuel, in combustion of fuel, does not require separate equipment for saving fuel, and further, can increase fuel saving efficiency compared with a method promoting the perfect combustion of fuel by physical force. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The porous oxidization-promoting material is obtained by a production method comprising the following steps: a step (a) where aluminum carbide, cristobalite, tantalum, zirconium oxide, calcium oxide, lithium, potassium feldspar and palladium are each pulverized into 300 to 350 meshes and mixed to produce a mixture; a step (b) where the mixture is fired at 800 to 1,200°C; a step (c) where the fired mixture is pulverized into 300 to 350 meshes, thereafter, water is charged thereto, and kneading and molding are performed; and a step (d) where the molded material is fired at 1,600 to 2,000°C.
