<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water clarifying apparatus which efficiently clarifies contaminant-containing water without requiring a flocculant and aeration and to provide an implement used therefor. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a dual helical tube implement, a first helical tube 22 and a second helical tube 24 different in inside diameters, are arranged so that both make a double helical shape. The inside of a first casing 26 and one end of the first helical tube 22 are communicated with each other with water tightness; one end of the second helical tube 24 and one end of a first connecting tube 30 are communicated with each other with water tightness; the inside of a second casing 28 and the other end of the first helical tube 22 are communicated with each other with water tightness; the other end of the second helical tube 24 and one end of a second connecting tube 32 are communicated with each other with water tightness and further the inside of a second casing 28 and an inner bottom of a water tank are connected via the second connecting tube 32 with water tightness. In the water clarifying apparatus, raw water is pressurized and introduced into the dual helical tube implement from the first connecting tube 30 by a water sending means, is supplied from the second connecting tube 32 to the water tank having a discharge weir part, then raw water discharged from the discharge weir part is supplied to a sieve and is filtered.
