PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact unit having the fewer number of components. SOLUTION: The contact unit 94 has a conductive base plate 95, and a plurality of contacts 93 for connecting fluorescent tubes arranged in the longitudinal direction of the base plate 95. The base plate 95 and the contacts 93 for connecting fluorescent tubes are integrally formed by using a single material. Each contact 93 for connecting fluorescent tubes includes a pair of elastic piece sections 112, 113. The pair of elastic piece sections 112, 113 elastically hold an outer lead 19 of a cold-cathode tube 7.
