The invention relates to a method for controlling, via the Internet, terminals which are suited for receiving and displaying electronically encoded information, but offer very limited or no interaction at all, and therefore are accessible to the vast majority of people. The terminals are controlled by a group of people via an Internet-based social network operated jointly. Both the family relationship information among each other and the terminals associated with the individual persons, including the processable data formats thereof, are registered for the persons registered in the Internet-based social network. An essential criterion for whether information is sent to a terminal is the proximity of the sender, to whom a piece of information relates, to the owner of the terminal in the joint relationship network. The one-time positioning in the relationship network, and the disclosure of one's own terminal, replace the explicit definition of the connections between the individual persons or any other method for defining the interest in certain information. |
