In a method for handling textile materials in a packing and stacking system in which the textile materials exist in the form of at least one hollow textile material body stacked onto a material substrate, the initially wet textile material body is penetrated by a gas which absorbs water. The gas is cooled by coolant present downstream of the textile material body in the direction of flow following exit from the textile material body, wherein water is precipitated from the cooled gas. The gas, which is cooled to a cool-down temperature (TR), is heated to a pre-determined inlet temperature (TE) in the textile material body and transitions to a state in which it has a relative humidity of f < 1 at the inlet temperature and under the pressure in effect. In this state, the gas is then allowed to flow into the textile material body. |
