The rolling contact gear (10) has continuously variable transmission, and multiple friction wheels (18) arranged between a drive disk (14) and a driven disk (16), whose peripheral side friction surfaces stand in active engagement with front surfaces (22,24) of the disks. A central area is provided as bearing-or bolt support. The front surfaces are formed by two sheet metal elements connected with each other outside the friction surface, where both the sheet metal elements are jointed in axial direction and pressed with each other.
