The device has an inner lining (10) acoustically separating an engine (3), and an outer lining (11) that is arranged at an integral carrier (12) in a wheel arch (7), where the outer lining thermally separates an engine bearing (15) and a wheel bearing (13). Aerodynamics improvement elements are provided in the inner lining. The outer lining has ram-pressure flaps provided as local openings (14) for exhausting a warm zone (2). The inner lining and the outer lining consist of heatproof plastics or fleeces.
