A machine (22) is provided with a rotor (221) rotatable relative to the transmission housing. Another machine (24) is provided with other rotors (241,242). A planetary transmission (26) is contained in the transmission housing with three ports (261,262,263) which provide a moment initiation or moment transfer. The ports are coupled with the transmission input shaft, transmission output shaft (18) and the rotors of the machines.
