ORGANIC LIGHT EMITTING DISPLAY AND DRIVING METHOD FOR THE SAME

PURPOSE: An organic electroluminescent display device and a driving method thereof are provided to improve image quality by controlling the brightness of a pulse width of a light emission control signal. CONSTITUTION: A pixel(100) includes a plurality of pixels which receives scan signals, light emission control signals, and data signals and displays an image. A frame memory(300) records an image signal different from the (n-1)-th frame. A storage block stores the same image signal as the (n-1)-th frame. A brightness controller(200) generates the frame data by adding the image signal different from the (n-1)-th frame and the image signal stored in the storage block. A scan driver(500) transmits the light emission control signal controlling the pulse width according to the size of the frame data and the scan signal. A data driver transmits data signals to the pixel unit after generating the data signals using the image signal stored in the frame memory.
