A piece of furniture comprises a drawer that can be displaced between a retracted position and a pulled out position in relation to a body of the piece of furniture, and a drive unit for displacing the drawer between the retracted and the pulled out position. The drive unit comprises a drive element which can be linearly displaced and which is or can be actively connected to the drawer for the purpose of displacing the same. A drive motor of the drive unit is actively connected to the drive element via a gear mechanism. Said gear mechanism (17) is accommodated in a gear housing (28) and the linearly displaceable output element is guided in or on the gear housing (28) and/or the gear mechanism (17) along its linear axis of displacement (24). |
