MOBILE WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS DEVICE WITH REDUCED HARMONICS RESULTING FROM METAL SHIELD COUPLING

PURPOSE: A mobile wireless communication device with reduced harmonics resulting from metal shield coupling is provided to make a mobile wireless communication device with reduced harmonics generated from metal shield coupling to no longer couple RF harmonics. CONSTITUTION: An RF metal shield unit surrounds a power amplifier and an antenna switch to divide an antenna switch(238) and a power amplifier(236) from an antenna(45) and RF(Radio Frequency) circuits(48a,48b). An RLC low pass filter(260) has input connected to the power amplifier and output connected to the antenna switch. The RLC low pass filter maintains transmission of the signals passed through a transmission line(266) at a desired basic frequency. The RLC low pass filter reduces random RF coupling of a voltage standing wave of an upper harmonic in the antenna switch through the RF metal shield unit form the power amplifier.
