PURPOSE: A plant growth control apparatus installed on a roadside is provided to create beautiful natural view by permitting growth of desired plant only, not weed. CONSTITUTION: A plant growth control apparatus installed on a roadside comprises a shield plate(20) which covers the ground of the roadside to suppress the growth of plant, a vegetation unit which is formed in the shield plate to let plant grow in a limited range, and a fixing unit which is installed on one side of the shield plate to fix the shield plate on the ground. The vegetation unit includes a receiving part formed therethrough in which a flowerpot is inserted, and a supporting part formed beneath the receiving part to support the bottom of the flowerpot.
