<p>A working machine (10) includes a body (11), a ground engaging structure including at least one pair of driven wheels (15, 16), an engine (13), and a transmission (20) for transmitting power from the engine (13) to the driven wheels (15, 16), a pressurised air system (46) for providing pressurised air for use in applying service brakes (56) for braking the wheels (15, 16), the transmission (20) including a transmission member (22, 23) which is rotatable with the wheels (15, 16), a transmission brake (65, 66) for applying a braking force to the transmission member (22, 23), and the transmission brake (65, 66) being releasable by a hydraulic fluid operated transmission brake releasing device (70, 71), the hydraulic fluid for the brake releasing device (70, 71) being derived from a pressurised hydraulic fluid system which includes a hydraulic pump (36; 36 b ) and one or more pressurised fluid operated services (40), there being a transmission brake control valve (75) to control the flow of hydraulic fluid to the brake releasing device (70, 71), the transmission brake control valve (75) being actuated to permit pressurised hydraulic fluid to flow therethrough to release the transmission brake (65, 66), by air pressure (78), derived from the pressurised air system (46).</p> |
