<p>A vacuum cleaner comprises an elongate cylindrical separation unit (10) detachably mounted to the body of the cleaner for separating dirt and dust from the airflow. A cyclone separator (13) is provided inside the lower end of the separation unit (10). The upper end wall (18) of the separator is removable and carries a filter (15) for filtering the cleaned airflow out of the cyclone separator (13). <??>The filter (15) can be removed from the cleaner for maintenance, without the entire separator (10). Additionally, the separator (10), with the filter unit (15) in position, may be dismounted from the cleaner if required, and carried to a disposal point for emptying. <IMAGE></p> |
