PURPOSE: An expansion joint device for a bridge is provided to lengthen the service life of the expansion joint device by preventing foreign materials from being infiltrated into a gap of the bridge slab. CONSTITUTION: An expansion joint device(100) for a bridge comprises a pair of base plates(110) and a water leakage cutoff part(120). A pair of base plates are installed to correspond to a gap between bridge slabs which is adjacent to the bridge slabs. A horizontal part(114,114a) is formed on the upper part of the base plates. A pair of base plates are composed of a first plate(112), and a second plate(112a) which are L-shaped. The water leakage cutoff part is composed of a first water leakage cutoff member(122) and a second water leakage cutoff member(122a). The water leakage cutoff part is installed between a pair of base plates. |
