PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter having little possibility that a guide wire is stuck near an opening of a wire lumen, formed in the middle of a catheter tube in a monorail-type catheter, and production method thereof.SOLUTION: The catheter includes an inner-tube fused part 50 along the axial direction, formed by fusing a proximal end 41 of an inner tube 40 to the inner wall of an outer tube 20 in the middle of the outer tube 20 in the axial direction. A part of the outer periphery of the inner tube 40 after the fusion is cut off by a prescribed cut length L1 from a wire lumen proximal-side opening 52 of the inner-tube fused part 50 in the distal direction such that a part of the wire lumen 43 is exposed to the outside. A proximal-side wire insertion hole 44 connected to the wire lumen 43 is formed at a distal end C2 of the cut length L1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1B |
