摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which performs high quality display with saved power consumption while no flicker is viewed. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes pixel electrodes 425 each including a reflective electrode region 424 and a transmissive electrode region 422, a liquid crystal layer 430, and a counter electrode 412 opposed to the pixel electrodes across the liquid crystal layer. A pixel electrode prescribes a pixel P, which has a reflective part R prescribed by a reflective electrode region and a transmissive part T prescribed by a transmissive electrode region. In order to substantially compensate the difference of an electrode potential difference of the reflective part and an electrode potential difference of the transmissive part, AC signal voltages differing in center level are applied to a liquid crystal layer of the reflective part and a liquid crystal layer of the transmissive part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
