APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING LEAKAGE OF FUEL OF BI FUEL CAR

PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for diagnosing leakage of fuel of a bi-fuel car are provided to determine the fuel leak of a high pressure fuel line passing through a pressure controller. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for diagnosing leakage of fuel of a bi-fuel car comprises a pressure controller(30), a gas injector(50) and a gasoline engine control unit(70). The pressure controller includes a shutoff valve(31), a fuel pressure regulator(35) and a pressure sensor(33). The gas injector sprays the gas fuel into a cylinder of a fuel tank depressurized through the pressure controller. The gasoline engine control unit controls the pressure controller and the gas injector. The engine control unit operates the engine with the gas fuel depressurized to the pressure controller. A gasoline fuel injection signal is supplied to an interface box(60) through an injection line. The interface box receives the fuel injection signal and converts into a gas fuel spray signal.
