PURPOSE: A chestnut scoring device is provided to automatically score the shell of chestnut without labor force. CONSTITUTION: A chestnut scoring device comprises the following units. A cylinder(2) is made of stainless steel plate. A hole in 1cm width and 3mm length is punched on the top of the cylinder. Rubber pieces(4) in 12cm length are inserted into each hole and fixed thereto. The rubber pieces are fixed at regular intervals of 3.5cm. When the chestnut is contacted with the rubber pieces, a pressing tool pressures the chestnut. A cutter(5) is fixed to a spring(6) and connected to a fixed shaft. The cylinder rotates once every 4 seconds. The chestnuts are inserted into the each hole in an ascending stage, and held by the rubber pieces in a descending stage. A blade(7) scores the shell of the chestnut. |
