<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lock paper feed cassettes by an easy operation. <P>SOLUTION: A laser printer 1 comprises a printer body 1a and three detachable paper feed cassette units 1b, 1c, 1d. The printer body 1a has a lock part, but the paper feed cassettes 1b, 1c, 1d do not have a lock part. Lock gears 51a, 51b, 51c, 51d are fitted to the left sides of the paper feed cassettes 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d, respectively. The paper feed cassettes have recessed parts 55a, 55b, 55c, 55d for receiving the lock gears in a locked state, respectively. The lock gears are connected to each other through transmission gears 70a, 71b, 72b, 70b, 71c, 72c, 70c, 71d, 72d, 70d. When a key 90 is inserted into a key hole 14a formed in the printer body 1a for locking, the rotation of the lock gear 51a is transmitted to all the gears, and all the paper feed cassettes 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d are simultaneously locked. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
