<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric ceramic composition which can be subjected to low temperature sintering at a firing temperature of ≤1,000°C, and also has satisfactory piezoelectric properties. <P>SOLUTION: The piezoelectric ceramic composition comprises multiple oxide with a perovskite structure containing the elements of Pb, Zr, Ti, Mn, and W as the main component, and a Cu element as an assistant component. At the time when the main component is expressed by the general formula of Pb<SB>a</SB>(Mn<SB>0.5+x</SB>W<SB>0.5-x</SB>)<SB>y</SB>(Ti<SB>z</SB>Zr<SB>1-z</SB>)<SB>1-y</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, the blending ratios a, x, y, and z satisfy 0.90≤a≤1.05, -0.4≤x≤0.4, 0.005≤y≤0.200, and 0.4≤z≤0.6, respectively, and also, the Cu element is contained by 0.006 to 0.03 mol to one mol of the main component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
