The ultrasonic sensor (1) has an ultrasonic waves (3) emitting transmitter (4), ultrasonic waves receiving receiver (5), and an evaluation unit for the generation of an object statement signal in dependence of the received signals at an exit of the receiver. A screen (6a,6b) is provided at the entrance surface.
