The present invention relates to a looped fabric which essentially consists of a ground fabric that is made of cotton and provided with loops of bamboo fibre. The present invention also relates to a terry that is made from the looped fabric according to the invention. The invention further relates to the use of bamboo fibre in a looped fabric.
