PURPOSE: A streaming method using a key frame and an apparatus thereof are provided to be realized in a universal digital computer operating a program using a computer readable recording medium. CONSTITUTION: A streaming method using a key frame comprises the following steps. A key frame table is received from a key frame providing server based on a request of a client device(710). The key frame table includes meta data about key frames of contents. A high speed forward reproduction command or a high speed backward reproduction command is inputted(720). A key frame corresponding to a high speed forward reproduction time point or a high speed backward reproduction time point is requested to a contents providing device storing the contents(730).
