PURPOSE: A device for forming and processing log is provided to polish the surface of log cut by a cutting tool within single device and equipping with a polishing tool as well. CONSTITUTION: A device for forming and processing log comprises a bed(10), a head stock(20), a tail stock(30), a carriage(40), and a molding guide(50) and a working table(60). The bed consists of a principal axes(11) and a reciprocating rail(12) parallel to the principal axes. The headstock is installed on the principal axes of the bed. The head stock consists of a clamping chuck(21) holding one end of log and a main rotor for turning the clamping chuck. The tail stock facing with the main head stock and is installed to move along the principal axes. The tail stock is equipped with a turning center(31) supporting the other end part one point of log and is moved to the direction advancing toward the headstock. The carriage reciprocates along the reciprocating rail by a transfer device(41). A molding guide having a curved molding surface(51) is fixed to the bed and is arranged to be parallel to the principal axes. The work table is installed to move to the direction perpendicular to the principal axes on the bed. The work table is moved to the direction parallel to the principal axes by the movement of a carriage. The work table includes a cutting tool(61). The cutting tool cuts the circumference of a log, moving to the direction perpendicular to the principal axes by the guide of the molding guide.
