<p>The switchgear has an electronic control unit (7) and sensor system (8) for detecting transmission parameters. A locking cylinder (4a) is arranged in the area of a selector shaft (2), which is regulated over the electronic control unit depending on the detected transmission parameter. The locking cylinder comes in contact with a locking latch (6a) in the operative condition, which prevents a rotation of the selector shaft in the reverse direction corresponding to the locking latch.
