J-shaped electrode for applying pressure point therapy and electrotherapy to the pelvic floor

A device 710 for self-treating pelvic pain has a rod 712 having a straight portion at a first end and at least one curved portion between the straight portion and a second end of the rod. A handle 714 is attached to the first end of the rod and a pressure applicator 716 is attached to the second end of the rod. The device includes a microcurrent electrical stimulation unit 724 which supplies electrical current to the pressure applicator. The device is for use in trigger point therapy on the myofascia of the pelvic floor muscles. It delivers a current of 20-400 microamperes at frequency of 1-1000 Hz and the magnitude and frequency of the current may be adjusted. The rod is preferably J-shaped and senses and displays the pressure at the applicator (see figure 7).
