The unit has a set of exhaust gas treatment elements (6) e.g. oxidation catalyst, arranged in a housing (2) and through which a parallel flow (19) exists. An outlet nozzle penetrates a side face (3) of the housing. Ends of the treatment elements open into an outlet space (8) that is located in the housing. A funnel body is arranged in the outlet space, and connects an outlet end of one of the treatment elements with the outlet nozzle, where a surface (5) of the funnel body is permeable to exhaust gas. The funnel body is attached on a hand to an intermediate face (11).
