PURPOSE: A metal dome switch for a keypad is provided to reduce the thickness and weight of a mobile communication terminal by not using a base rubber. CONSTITUTION: At an upper surface of a metal dome switch(214), a cap-shaped dimple(214a) is formed. At both lower end parts of the metal dome switch, contact ends(214b) for always contacting with a fixed contact point(112b) are formed. A user presses a key(102) of a keypad assembly. The pressing pressure is applied to the dimple through a light guide film(118) and a metal dome sheet(116). The central part of the metal dome switch is pressed in the downward direction by an elastic action. |
