BACKLIGHT UNIT AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A backlight unit and a liquid crystal display including the same are provided to improve the display quality. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of channels comprise a plurality of light emitting diodes. A timing unit(175) generates timing signals of the channels. The timing unit generates a timing signal of a driving frequency higher than the first channel in the second channels except for the first channel. A selection unit(177) sequentially selects the channels. A frequency multiplying unit(173) multiplies a vertical/horizontal synchronous signal provided from the outside.
