PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promptly detect accurate tempo by setting a candidate interval as a new basic interval when it is judged that a rhythm signal is input with the candidate interval.
SOLUTION: The tempo detecting device first sets the basic interval when (beat per minute) BPM of music on the basis of the rhythm signal which is input according to a musical rhythm is detected (S10). Next, on the basis of the basic interval, input timing of the next rhythm signal is predicted (S12). When the predicted timing which is predicted and input timing of the actual rhythm signal are coincident, the BPM is calculated on the basis of the basic interval (S26). When they are not coincident, the candidate interval is set on the basis of the input interval of the rhythm signal at that time and the next input timing is predicted on the basis of the candidate interval (S16 and S18). When the input timing and the next rhythm signal input timing are coincident, the BPM is calculated with the candidate interval as the new basic interval (S22 and S26), and when they are not coincident, the BPM is calculated with a value of the current basic interval without changing the value of the basic interval (S24 and S26).
COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
