The invention relates to a method for eliminating superabsorber particles, which are provided as finely dispersed hydrogel particles, from spinning baths containing at least 2 percent of an amine oxide, e.g. N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide (NMMO), that accumulates for example during the production of molded cellulose articles comprising incorporated crosslinked polyacrylmethacrylates or other superabsorbers according to a dry-wet extrusion process. Said particles cannot be quantitatively eliminated by mechanical means in the spinning bath preparation. The particles react as polyanions and disrupt the solvent recycling process. Surprisingly, the water absorptivity of the superabsorbent particles (SAP) can be reduced to such an extent also in a mixture of water, NMMO with concentrations of methylmorpholine, morpholine, and chromophores, by specifically adding multivalent cations that said superabsorbent particles (SAP) settle and can be quantitatively removed from the solvent recycling process using mechanical elimination.
|
