PURPOSE: A retaining wall block with a guide cover for forming a strut and a method for constructing a retaining wall using the same are provided to reduce retaining wall construction time and cost without separately installing a strut. CONSTITUTION: A retaining wall block(100) with a guide cover for forming a strut comprises a wall plate, a guide cover(400). The wall plate is made of precast concrete and is segmented to have a fixed space at the lower part of a rear side(201). A concrete mortar filling portion, which is opened downward, is formed at the wall plate. The guide cover is fixed on the girth surfaces(221a,221b,221c,231a) to completely cover a rear opening of the concrete mortar filling portion. The guide cover is varied according to the injection amount and the volume of the concrete mortar. |
