A flowable animal feedstuff composition comprises a high protein meal, additional edible lipid, the composition also containing, as a flowability agent, a comminuted starch. The starch prevents the feedstuff from becoming sticky during storage and also stabilises the composition, preventing the lipid from separating out and migrating to the bottom of the storage container. Preferably the high protein meal is fish meal, such as capelin or herring meal. The lipid may be a fish oil derived from anchovy or salmon. The feedstuff may contain up to 25% added edible lipid. An alginate and/or guar gum may be added as an additional flowability agent. |
