PURPOSE: A flame-resistant plastic film for ink-jet printers and a preparation method thereof are provided to eliminate a crack phenomenon in a drying process using a flame-resistant layer and ink-absorbing layer. CONSTITUTION: A flame-resistant plastic film for ink-jet printers comprises a base layer(10), ink-absorbing layer(30), and a flameproof layer(20). The flameproof layer is formed between the base layer and ink-absorbing layer. A composition of the flameproof layer comprises at least one resin, flameproofing agent, solvent, curing agent, leveling agent, and antifoaming agent. The resin is polyurethane or polyvinyl chloride. The flameproofing agent is selected from the group consisting of bromine-based, antimony-based, phosphorus-based flameproofing agent, aluminium hydroxide, inorganic flameproofing agent, and their mixture. The solvent is MEK, toluene, acetone, DMF, methanol, and their mixture. The curing agent is selected from isocyanate-based, epoxy-based, and melamine-based curing agent. The leveling agent is a silicone-based leveling agent or polymer leveling agent. The antifoaming agent is a silicone-based antifoaming agent or non-silicone-based antifoaming agent.
