PURPOSE: A rod replacing device and a cylinder tool thereof are provided to decrease the length of an elevating cylinder drastically, and to offer good operation efficiency with reduction of elevating time. CONSTITUTION: A rod replacing device includes a post(110), a lifting frame(120), a flexible member(131), a frame lifting unit(130), a clamping unit(160), a movable unit, and a lifting cylinder unit(133). The post is formed at a constant interval. The post has a guide part(112) consisting of top and bottom. The frame lifting unit includes a flexible member lifting unit(132) and a lifting aid unit(150). A flexible member includes a chain. The flexible member lifting unit includes a sprocket and a lifting cylinder unit.
