<p>PURPOSE: An alkylation process of an aromatic compound and a preparation method of ethylated benzene are provided, to alkylate benzene by using a zeolite beta alkylation catalyst under mild liquid phase condition. CONSTITUTION: The alkylation process of an aromatic compound comprises the steps of providing feedstock containing benzene into a reaction zone, and contacting the feedstock with a molecular sieve catalyst containing a silica binder-supported zeolite beta alkylation catalyst and having an average regeneration coefficient of at least 95% after at least three times regeneration performed at 500 deg.C; providing a C2-C4 alkylating agent into the reaction zone; operating the reaction zone under the condition of temperature and pressure suitable for alkylating benzene at liquid phase or supercritical phase; and collecting the alkylated benzene from the reaction zone. Preferably the alkylating agent is ethylene.</p> |
