PURPOSE: A check valve with shock-absorbing grooves is provided to reduce water hammering by lessening the impact of a valve which is rapidly opened and closed by sudden flow changes. CONSTITUTION: A check valve comprises a first housing(10), a second housing(20), and a valve(30). The first housing has a fluid inlet(12), a fluid outlet(14), and a first shock-absorbing groove. The second housing has a second shock-absorbing groove. The valve comprises a body(31) installed inside the second housing, an insert buffer extended from one side of the body, a disc(32) which opens and closes the fluid outlet, and a discharge hole(34) through which a fluid passes.
