PURPOSE: A location service providing method for a roaming terminal for preventing the location measurement based on geographical area is provided to prevent location measurement based on a geographical area by performing a location measurement method. CONSTITUTION: If an H-SLP(Home SUPL Location Platform)(220) receives an SUPL(Secure User Plane Location) TRIGGERED START message, an RLP SSRLIR(RLP Standard SUPL Roaming Location Immediate Request) including the SUPL TRIGGERED START message is transmitted to a V-SLP(Visiting-SUPL Location Platform)(210). The V-SLP determines the intended measuring position method. The V-SLP transmits an RLP SSRLIA(RLP Standard SUPL Roaming Location Immediate Answer) to the H-SLP. H-SLP forwards the received beginning response message to the target SET(SUPL Enabled Terminal)(120).
