In one embodiment, an electronic device comprising a processor that controls a display is configured to generate one or more them es on the display. The electronic device is configured to maintain a locale setting identifying, for example, a language setting. The electronic device is provided with a theme data file that includes conditional definitions that correspond to automatic adjustments to how the theme is generated based on the locale setting.
