PURPOSE: A method of providing a real time closed caption of a local broadcast is provided to supply a closed caption which is made in advance and largely improve quality and trust of the providing service of a closed caption, thereby making the hearing disable supply good image. CONSTITUTION: A method of providing a real time closed caption of a local broadcast comprises the following steps. A caption transmitting unit transmits a caption through a designated line through a modem(16). A modem(26) in a local broadcasting station(20) transmits the received caption data to a caption receiver(25). The caption receiver transmits normal caption data to a caption inserting unit(24).
