<p>PURPOSE: A method for refining molten steel in converter is provided which is capable of inhibiting generation of non-molten ingot as preventing damage of converter refractories by tilting the converter after inputting quicklime and coke into the converter. CONSTITUTION: In a converter refining method for manufacturing molten steel by blowing oxygen into the converter after charging scrap into converter and then charging hot metal into the converter, the method for refining molten steel in the converter comprises the process of tilting the converter 5 to 6 times to inhibit generation of non-molten ingot after injecting 7 to 14 kg/ton-molten steel of quicklime and 1.8 to 2.2 kg/ton-molten steel of coke into the converter during a period of time between after charging scrap into the converter and before charging hot metal into the converter if a hot metal charging waiting time is predicted to be 30 minutes or more after charging the scrap into the converter.</p> |
