The trolley has a compacting device including two rectangular rigid plates (6, 15) that are mounted in rotation with respect to one another along their respective lower and upper sides (13, 14). The plates are mounted so as to be partially superposed on one another to crush a plastic bottle arranged between the plates when a gripping unit is folded on an upper wall of a hollow main compartment (3), in lowered position. The plates are mounted so as to be extended perpendicular to one another when the unit is returned to raised position. Wheels are mounted in a lower part of the compartment.
