The structure has a frontal impact damping device including an arm (3) with a front end whose plate (32) is integrated to a vertical connection element i.e. pendant (2), by a rivet. The plate is slidably mounted on a lower portion (22) of the element along a longitudinal direction (D) when force (F) is greater than a given value, in case of frontal impact on the structure. The arm is disintegrated from the element, and displaced in longitudinal translation towards a front cradle to dampen the impact without displacing the element. The end has a transversal beam coated with foam element.
