<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor controller for highly accurately extracting current components corresponding to a sensing signal, thereby enabling to stably control a motor. <P>SOLUTION: A current command value generating section 11 generates a current command value I<SB>dq</SB><SP>*</SP>for generating a torque from a motor 3. A sensing signal generating section 21 generates a sinusoidal sensing signal of a predetermined sensing frequency. The sensing signal is injected into a stator of the motor 3. A response of the motor 3 to the sensing signal is detected by a current sensor 9. A subtracting section 24 subtracts a current command value I<SB>αβ</SB><SP>*</SP>from a detection signal I<SB>αβ</SB>to suppress the influence of the current command signal value I<SB>αβ</SB><SP>*</SP>, and generates a current response signal I<SB>αβe</SB>corresponding to the sensing signal.
