<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for collecting both of PRENCSO and LFS from onion. <P>SOLUTION: Provided is a method for separating LFS (lachrymatory factor synthase) and PRENCSO (S-1-propenyl-cysteine sulfoxide) from onion. The method comprises inactivation of alliinase in onion with an aqueous solution of a water-soluble organic solvent having concentration of ≥10 (v/v)% and <70 (v/v)%; extraction of LFS and PRENCSO into the above aqueous solution after inactivation; separation of LFS from the extracted aqueous solution with an anion exchange resin; and separation of PRENCSO with a cation exchange resin from the fraction which is not adsorbed to the anion exchange resin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
